'Y' Active Workforce

Welcome to Active Workforce

Welcome to the Active Workforce homepage. Here you can find the latest information on new activities, motivational tips and advice on healthy living.

What is Active Workforce?

Active Workplace is a healthy workforce initiative aimed at getting employees within Fylde and Wyre more active. If your organisation has registered with the programme then read on to find out more! If not, then ask a member of Personnel or HR to call the ‘Y’ Active Team on 01253 882105.

The programme aims to make it easier for participants to make the healthier choice by removing the traditional barriers associated with activity such as time, cost and accessibility.

Participants can take advantage of the special £15 per month membership. This exclusive membership is only open to Active Workforce participants and allows the same access rights as a Prestige Executive membership. This means that you have full access to all 6 Fylde Coast YMCA centres 7 days a week with no extra charge for classes or racket sports.

And that’s not all! Participants will also get the chance to attend a rolling programme of health assessments and health seminars. The ‘Y’ Active Team will be on hand throughout the scheme to offer you ongoing support and encouragement.

This special membership price will run for 6 months after which a member of the team will talk to you about the opportunities available for you to continue with your new healthy lifestyle.

Health Assessments

As a member of the Active Workforce Programme you are entitled to free health assessments. These assessments are a great way to monitor your progress and also give you the chance to ask a fitness professional about the type of exercise you are doing. Please contact any one of our YMCA facilities to book in for a free health assessment during the duration of your membership.

Please free to log any complaint or issue you might have no matter how small or trival it might be. The more information we receive the better the service we can deliver. Please log your complaint online at the following web based site:
