Food Safety – Catering, Manufacturing and Retail – Level 1 and Level 2 Awards

  • The Level 1 award in food safety is suitable for a variety of candidates, including new employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge, employees handling low-risk or wrapped food or those who work front of house, such as waiting or check out staff, as well as back of house such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff.
  • The Level 2 award provides an understanding of the importance of the special responsibilities of those working with food for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensuring that the food they serve or sell is safe to eat. It is aimed at anyone working in catering where food is prepared, cooked, stored or handled.

Level 2 Award in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) for Catering

This course is for caterers and other food handlers who are already working in the catering industry and for those who are preparing to work in the industry.
The course will be especially useful for those who are involved in maintaining HACCP within the catering industry and for individuals who are or who will become part of a HACCP team. Individuals completing the course will gain knowledge and understanding of the concept and benefits of HACCP, contribute to and develop HACCP and apply the principles of HACCP within catering businesses.
