Outdoor Education
Through our outdoor education programmes we aim to help young people build a future. We work with schools, youth and corporate groups from all over Europe in helping them achieve their learning and development objectives through outdoor activity.
These objectives can range from getting everyone together for a fun getaway and helping build better teams, to in depth development goals linkled with leadership, communication and improving confidence.
Our YMCA Lakeside centre is one of the largest outdoor residential centres in Europe, set in an area of outstanding beauty in the heart of the English Lake District. We have over 400 acres of private woodland estate bordered by a mile and a half of shoreline onto Windermere; it is considered one of the finest located outdoor centres in the world.
